Who doesn’t love a good Before and After Makeover??
My latest client wanted a fresh makeover in her dining room. She has an awesome, Made in America (Whoot Whoot!) American Drew Dining Set. Great quality, great lines….but with the dark cherry shine and the brassy pulls….and out dated rugs and fabric she was ready for a change!
It would have been a shame to get rid of such a good dining set when it is so easy to update it with paint. We decided on Annie Sloan’s Old Ochre, distressed with Clear Wax.
I even painted right over the mirrors in the back of the china hutch!
Asher and Lanie love to pose in my pictures!
Pretty distressed curves on the chairs!
I painted over the brass handles with Old Ochre, Clear Waxed them and then rubbed on some Royal Design Studio Stencil Creme is Bronze Age and rubbed some back off with some more Clear Wax.
We wanted to bring a little color into the neutral palette on this small buffet piece. I used Annie Sloan’s Duck Egg, with Old Ochre accents and Clear and Dark Wax.
I love layering color!
What a great transformation!!!
